Mussels Found in Uncharted Waters of Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley's Storybook Vale expansion introduces a plethora of new ingredients, some easier to find than others. Mussels, a type of shellfish described as surprisingly good water filters, present a particular challenge for some players. Unlike other shellfish, Mussels only appear in specific Storybook Vale biomes and can have unpredictable spawn locations.

Locating Mussels in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Mussels are found on the ground throughout Mythopia, specifically within these areas:

• The Elysian Fields
• The Fiery Plains
• The Statue's Shadow
• Mount Olympus

While some players report easily finding Mussels in these areas, others experience less frequent spawns. Certain locations, such as near Trials (e.g., near Hades' initial Trial in the Elysian Fields), may yield Mussels.

A cluster of Mussels can be found hidden behind a secret bush area in the Elysian Fields during Hades' "A Moth to a Flame" quest. Unlocking this area may increase Mussel spawns across Mythopia.

Utilizing Mussels in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Unlike some other seafood, Mussels aren't used in crafting. Their primary use is as a cooking ingredient in these recipes:

• Garlic Steam Mussels
• Mussel Risotto
• Steamed Mussels

Alternatively, consuming a Mussel restores +150 energy, or you can sell them for 75 Gold Star Coins at Goofy's Stalls.
