Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for the Sweet Discoveries event, where you'll have the chance to encounter the adorable Applin for the very first time. This event is a must-attend for anyone passionate about collecting new Pokémon or hunting for those elusive shinies. Dive in to learn everything you need to know about this exciting event.
When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?
Mark your calendars: the Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and lasts until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. The highlight of this event is undoubtedly the debut of Applin, a charming Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hailing from the Galar region.
To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. Alternatively, to evolve it into Appletun, you'll require the same 200 candies but with 20 Sweet Apples. For its final evolution into Dipplin, and ultimately Hydrapple, follow the same candy requirement with the respective Apples.
The Apples, crucial for evolution, will appear in the wild. Tapping on them might reward you with a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Increase your chances of finding Apples by using Mossy Lure Modules.
Did You Know?
Applin is unique in that it spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly disguising itself from bird Pokémon, its natural enemies, by mimicking a simple fruit. This quirky trait makes Applin one of the cutest Pokémon in the entire Pokémon GO lineup.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, new avatar items will be available in the shop, including the Applin Headband and Applin Apron. As for event bonuses, you'll enjoy 2× Candy for every Pokémon you catch.
There's an increased chance of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild. Additionally, your odds of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs will be higher.
Another delightful aspect of the event involves berries. Catching Delibird or Skwovet will cause them to drop berries, adding a sweet touch to your gameplay. If you're yet to join the fun, grab Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store now.
