Hotta Studios' Open-World RPG, Neverness to Everness, Launches Closed Beta – But Only in China
Hotta Studios is gearing up for the first closed beta test of their upcoming 3D open-world RPG, Neverness to Everness. Unfortunately, participation is limited to players residing in mainland China. While international fans will miss out on the beta, they can still keep an eye on developments as the game progresses towards its full release.
Gematsu recently highlighted new lore details revealed for the game. If you’ve seen the trailers showcasing the city of Eibon (see below), the new additions likely won't be a huge surprise. The expanded lore delves deeper into the game's comedic tone and the intriguing blend of the bizarre and ordinary within the world of Hetherau.
Hotta Studios, a subsidiary of Perfect World (creators of the popular Tower of Fantasy), is entering a competitive market. Neverness to Everness, while fitting within the established 3D open-world RPG genre with its urban setting, boasts unique features to set it apart.
High-Octane Open-World Driving
A standout feature is the inclusion of open-world driving! Players can experience the thrill of high-speed city chases. The game allows for the purchase and customization of various vehicles, but be warned: crashes have realistic consequences.
Upon release, Neverness to Everness will face strong competition from titles like MiHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero and NetEase's Ananta (formerly Project Mugen), both of which occupy similar niches within the mobile 3D open-world RPG landscape.
