First showcased at last week's PlayStation State of Play, the hack-and-slash action-adventure game, Tides of Annihilation, has generated significant buzz with its newly released extended gameplay trailer.
The trailer presents early gameplay footage, featuring protagonist Gwendolyn and her shape-shifting sword companion, Niniane, navigating the ruins of a devastated, otherworldly London, ravaged by an Outworld invasion. Their journey through the decaying city is fraught with perilous encounters. Gwendolyn's ability to summon a squad of over ten legendary knights, inspired by King Arthur's Round Table, is a key element of the gameplay.
After overcoming numerous enemies and traversing a magical portal, the duo confronts Mordred in a challenging boss battle. This intense showdown highlights the game's dynamic combat system, underscored by a haunting choral score.
According to producer Kun Fu on PlayStation.Blog, the combat system offers "intuitive co-op combat within a single-player experience."
