Another week has brought more excitement and volatility to the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) market as collectors and players eagerly await the release of Destined Rivals. Fortunately, the preorders for Black Bolt and White Flare at the Pokémon Center were not disrupted by bots this time around.
The most significant price drop this week was observed with Greninja ex 214/167, which has plummeted by nearly 50% since the beginning of the year. We're also witnessing notable price reductions across cards from the Obsidian Flames and the elusive 151 expansions. In contrast, Dragonite V from Evolving Skies has seen its value almost double since January, a testament to the card's stunning artwork which many feel was previously undervalued.
Charizard V Alt Art continues to captivate with its depiction of a battle against Venusaur, and its value has been steadily climbing. Meanwhile, Rayquaza VMAX Alt Art is experiencing a meteoric rise, gaining an impressive $100 in value since the start of the year. Let's delve into the rest of the week's biggest Pokémon TCG risers and fallers.

While Sword and Shield era cards are beginning to see a resurgence, Scarlet and Violet series cards are generally returning to more grounded prices.
Alakazam ex SIR from the 151 expansion is a stunning card and is now 34% cheaper than at the beginning of March. It's the perfect time to add Uri Geller's Grandad to your collection.
Bulbasaur, my first starter Pokémon from Pokémon Blue, holds a special place in my heart. The Bulbasaur IR card has dropped by a significant 52% since mid-March, making it an irresistible addition to any collection.
From the Obsidian Flames set, Ninetales IR remains a standout. With a 40% price drop since February, it's now available for a reasonable $18.17.

Charizard ex SIR from Obsidian Flames boasts a stunning stained glass Tera form, making it a true showstopper. Though the price has only dropped $5 since March, every dollar saved counts.
Greninja ex SIR was once poised to be the priciest card from the Scarlet and Violet era, but the release of Prismatic Evolutions intensified the fear of missing out (FOMO). Despite a significant drop, it remains a formidable card at $275, a far cry from its $411.62 price tag at the end of February.

Charizard V Alt Art captures the essence of a dynamic battle with Venusaur, earning another $40 since January. Its unique angle and motion make it stand out, and it's on track to surpass $200 by year's end.
