Jingle Hells in *Black Ops 6* offers more than just holiday visuals. While it reskins Liberty Falls with festive decorations, it fundamentally alters progression and upgrade systems. Here's how weapon upgrades and Ammo Mods work in this special *Black Ops 6* Zombies mode.
How To Upgrade Your Weapon in Jingle Hells
Unlike standard *Black Ops 6* Zombies where players use Salvage at the Arsenal Machine, Jingle Hells removes this option entirely. Instead, weapon upgrades require finding Aether Tools - color-coded consumables that upgrade weapons to their corresponding rarity tier.
In Jingle Hells, you can obtain Aether Tools through these methods:
- Target the zombie head atop the Church spire with a grenade to trigger a loot-dropping event (higher rounds yield better rarity tools)
- Open safety deposit boxes in the Bank Vault using Loot Keys
- Complete S.A.M. Trials at maximum reward tier
- Use Hidden Power GobbleGum for instant Legendary upgrades
Weapons from Mystery Boxes, Wall Buys, and Holiday Presents also automatically scale in rarity with progressing rounds.
How To Get Ammo Mods in Jingle Hells
This seasonal mode currently only features Cryo Freeze Ammo Mods, which drop as equippable consumables. The primary source is Holiday Presents - special loot containers that improve their rewards as rounds advance.
Holiday Presents appear through:
- Random drops from defeated enemies
- The Naughty or Nice powerup (Nice variant drops presents, Naughty spawns vermin)
- S.A.M. Machine spawn points
How To Get Equipment and Support
With the Workbench removed from this mode, players can't craft equipment or Support items using Salvage. However, they still appear through these methods:
- Random enemy drops
- Holiday Present contents
- Special/Elite enemy loot
- S.A.M. Trial rewards
- Bank Vault deposit boxes
