Capcom has released a significant hotfix for Monster Hunter Wilds, version 1.000.05.00, across all platforms. This update focuses on removing progression blockers and fixing various bugs, enhancing the overall gaming experience. However, players should note that this patch does not include any performance improvements, as detailed in the patch notes below.
Despite the ongoing performance issues on PC, which have contributed to a 'mixed' user review rating on Steam, Monster Hunter Wilds has achieved remarkable commercial success. It sold an impressive 8 million copies within just three days of its launch, making it the fastest-selling Capcom game to date. The game also achieved a peak concurrent player count of 1,384,608 on Steam, surpassing notable titles like Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring. For comparison, Monster Hunter: World peaked at 334,684 players.
Looking ahead, players can anticipate a title update in early April that will introduce a new endgame area for gathering and additional monster hunting content.
