As players continue to explore Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 multiplayer, countless final kill highlights get shared online every day—yet some truly stand out from the rest.
Ricochet Blades are a unique type of ammunition for the D1.3 Sector secondary weapon, introduced during last month’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover. Shortly after their arrival, these blades started generating buzz thanks to their unpredictable path as they bounce between multiple surfaces.
One player, kev99gh, captured the final elimination in a hardcore Search and Destroy match on Lowtown. They launched a Ricochet Blade—fondly nicknamed “pizza” by fans—out of the map area, only for it to bounce right back in through a window, instantly taking down an enemy who happened to peek out at the perfect moment.

This impressive clip likely holds the record for the longest-range Ricochet Blade elimination yet, especially since the blade traveled outside the playable map boundary. In the footage, we see kev99gh take aim from behind cover, sending the blade into the unknown. They then switch to the overhead map view, tracking its route along the map’s edge before it curves back toward the window to secure the kill.
While it might look like pure luck, intricate trick shots like this usually come from practice. Redditor SpawnTubing, who shared the clip, mentioned that the Black Ops 6 community often “searches for and practices common camping spots.” And as several commenters noted, the split-second timing—with the opponent peeking just as the “pizza” flew in—is a classic Black Ops 6 moment most players can relate to.
In fact, Ricochet Blades have sparked a growing trend of bounce-based eliminations across various multiplayer maps. While not all are as jaw-dropping, several clips have surfaced showing blades ricocheting multiple times before hitting their mark—like the example below.

Still, not everyone is thrilled with the bouncing blades. Some players find them frustrating to face—and they’ll be even less pleased that developer Treyarch recently improved the blades’ bounce behavior and projectile speed in an update, making them a guaranteed one-hit kill. Here are the relevant patch notes:
D1.3 SectorOriginally, the D1.3 Sector’s Ricochet Blades were designed for rapid firing into tight spaces, making them ideal for blind firing. Based on player input, we recognized that their practical use cases were limited. We’ve now increased the damage to 100 to ensure one-hit eliminations, while lowering both the fire rate and projectile speed. We hope these adjustments spark renewed interest in this ammunition and look forward to seeing more cross-map kill cams in multiplayer.
Ricochet BladesDamage increased from 75 to 100.Rate of fire decreased.Projectile velocity reduced.Bouncing speed and physics improved.
With these adjustments, Ricochet Blades are set to become even more dominant—especially as Season 3 approaches and the long-awaited return of Verdansk to Warzone draws near.
