Heroes of the Storm: Brawl Mode Returns!
Heroes of the Storm is bringing back its popular Heroes Brawl mode, rebranded as Brawl Mode. This exciting update, currently available on the Public Test Realm (PTR), introduces rotating bi-weekly challenges featuring dozens of previously unavailable maps. Expect unique gameplay twists and challenges, reminiscent of the original Heroes Brawl's wildly popular variations.
The original Heroes Brawl, launched in 2016, offered weekly rotating maps with unique objectives and rule sets. From all-Nova sniper duels to action-packed Arena versions of existing battlefields, the mode provided a refreshing change of pace. However, due to the increasing popularity of single-lane maps and maintenance challenges, it was discontinued in 2020, replaced by ARAM.
Now, Brawl Mode makes a triumphant return. The new iteration will rotate every two weeks, on the 1st and 15th of each month, offering players a special chest reward for completing three matches during each Brawl's active period. The exact reward structure (single reward per Brawl or multiple rewards per week) remains to be seen. With a vast library of past Brawls to draw from, players can anticipate a diverse and engaging experience.
The current PTR features "Snow Brawl," a holiday-themed event. The official launch is anticipated within a month of the PTR's three-week testing period, potentially coinciding with the beginning of February. This revival is particularly timely, falling within Heroes of the Storm's 10th-anniversary year (June 2nd, 2025), and offers a significant boost to the game's community. Many players see this as a positive sign for the game's future.
