Mecha BREAK, the exciting multiplayer mech game, recently wrapped up its open beta on Steam, which concluded on March 16. The game attracted a peak of over 300,000 players during this period and has now secured its position as the 5th most wishlisted game on the platform. Following the open beta, the developers at Chinese studio Amazing Seasun are actively considering significant changes based on player feedback, particularly around the accessibility of Break Strikers (Mechs).
One of the key points of feedback was the initial limitation to just one available Break Striker at the start of the game. Players could unlock additional mechs by earning in-game currency through multiplayer matches, but this process could be quite time-consuming. To address this, Amazing Seasun is contemplating making all 12 Break Strikers available from the start, which would eliminate the need for players to grind extensively to access different mechs.
While the developers are open to these changes, they have not made any final commitments yet. They believe that adopting a live service model at launch is crucial for the game's long-term success and are carefully considering how to balance player satisfaction with sustainable game development. This includes potential adjustments to the usage of mech modules in both 3v3 and 6v6 competitive modes.
