Blizzard has unveiled exciting details about the upcoming in-game housing system set to launch with World of Warcraft: Midnight. Although this expansion follows The War Within in the Worldsoul saga, the early previews hint at an unprecedented level of customization that has sparked enthusiasm among the player base.
A developer blog recently showcased in-game videos demonstrating the functionality of furniture placement. The system utilizes a grid for alignment, with items automatically snapping into place. Players can further personalize larger objects such as shelves or tables by adorning them with smaller accessories that remain attached even when the larger item is moved.
The housing system offers two distinct modes: a Basic Mode designed for easy organization and an Advanced Mode tailored for creative builders. In Advanced Mode, users gain the ability to rotate objects across all three axes and stack them innovatively, allowing for the creation of intricate and visually appealing interiors.

Another standout feature is the option to scale objects, catering to the diverse sizes of characters. This means gnomes can craft snug, cozy spaces, while larger races like tauren can design more expansive layouts. Additionally, some furniture pieces designed specifically for the housing system will allow for recoloring, although this feature may not extend to legacy assets.
With the release of Midnight still on the horizon, Blizzard is keeping the community engaged by regularly sharing glimpses of the upcoming content, building anticipation and excitement for the future updates of the game.
