Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco's Collaborative Effort on "Dawnwalker"
Anticipation Builds for Upcoming Dawnwalker Reveals
The collaboration, announced earlier this week, designates Bandai Namco as the worldwide publisher for Dawnwalker, the inaugural title in Rebel Wolves' ambitious RPG saga. Launching in 2025 across PC, PS5, and Xbox platforms, Dawnwalker promises a mature, story-driven AAA experience set in a dark fantasy world inspired by medieval Europe. Further details are expected in the coming months. Founded in 2022 in Warsaw, Poland, Rebel Wolves aims to redefine the RPG genre with its narrative-focused approach.
Tomasz Tinc, Rebel Wolves' chief publishing officer, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting Bandai Namco's established reputation for narrative-driven RPGs and their shared values. He emphasized the excitement of bringing the Dawnwalker saga to a global audience.
Bandai Namco's business development VP, Alberto Gonzalez Lorca, described Dawnwalker as a significant addition to their portfolio, aligning perfectly with their Western market strategy. The partnership aims to leverage both companies' strengths to deliver a successful global launch.
Leading the creative vision is Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, a CD Projekt Red veteran and lead quest designer on The Witcher 3, who joined Rebel Wolves earlier this year as creative director. Co-founder and narrative director Jakub Szamalek, a nine-year CDPR writing veteran, confirms Dawnwalker as a new IP. The game's scope is anticipated to be comparable to The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine expansion, with a focus on a non-linear narrative.
Tomaszkiewicz previously highlighted the game's design, aiming for player choice and replayability through varied options and experimental gameplay. He expressed his eagerness to share the team's progress with players.
