Set in a parallel universe to the original Elden Ring, Nightreign features cooperative gameplay for up to three players. Players select from eight unique Nightfarers, each with distinct abilities and Ultimates, to battle new threats in the ever-changing Limveld. The game incorporates a three-day-and-night cycle, shrinking the playable area with the Night’s Tide. Each session culminates in a Nightlord battle.
The official description highlights:
Elden Ring Nightreign begins at the Roundtable Hold. Players choose from eight unique characters, battling in the ever-changing Limveld environment, impacted by a night cycle that shrinks the map. Nightly boss battles await, with victory leading to greater challenges. The final confrontation is against the Nightlord on the third night. Cooperation is key; failure yields relics for character customization and upgrades. Each session offers a unique experience, with shifting enemies, rewards, and map layouts. Sites of Grace provide leveling opportunities, and successful runs grant lasting stat bonuses.
