Monster Hunter Wilds presents a vast and intricately connected world, offering players an immersive open environment that encourages exploration. One player recently demonstrated just how interconnected the zones are by embarking on a lengthy journey from the game’s early areas all the way to its most advanced regions.
On the Monster Hunter subreddit, user -BrotherPig- shared a video showcasing their traversal through multiple zones in Monster Hunter Wilds. Starting in the Windward Plains, they ran across deserts and dunes, continuing through mid-game areas and eventually reaching some of the final locations in the game. If you haven’t completed the story yet, beware—spoilers lie ahead.
Did you know there's only 1 loading screen between the Plains and Suja? 9min ride through all zones. by u/-BrotherPig- in MonsterHunter
This journey highlights the seamless transition between environments, with only one loading screen occurring midway as the player moves from the Oilwell Basin into the Iceshard Cliffs. Other than that, the entire trip is done without interruption, demonstrating the scale and continuity of the Forbidden Lands.
Of course, Monster Hunter Wilds isn't completely devoid of loading screens. There's a loading break when entering the training grounds, and others occur during fast travel or when joining friends’ quests. Still, this continuous traversal offers a fresh perspective on the game’s world design and reinforces how thoughtfully the zones are linked together.

What makes Monster Hunter Wilds stand out, according to one series producer, is its narrative depth, immersive atmosphere, and support for cross-play. As players continue to uncover new mechanics and interactions within this open-world evolution of the franchise, it becomes clear that there’s plenty to explore and enjoy before even considering future updates like the first Title Update in April.
