InZOI's Game Director, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, has unveiled intriguing details about the game's incorporation of unusual and paranormal elements. Players will have the unique opportunity to control ghosts, albeit with certain limitations, ensuring these features complement rather than dominate the core gameplay experience. This ghost-control mechanic is intricately linked to a karma system that monitors characters' actions and impacts their future lives, extending its influence even beyond death.

The karma system, in conjunction with a character's deeds, dictates their post-mortem fate. Depending on their actions, characters may either transition peacefully to the afterlife or become earthbound ghosts, compelled to remain among the living. These ghostly entities must accumulate the necessary karma points to eventually depart from the mortal realm.

In the early access phase of InZOI, players will encounter ghosts, though the ability to control them will be introduced in subsequent updates. Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim stressed that InZOI primarily focuses on simulating real-life experiences, hence the paranormal elements will be subtly integrated. However, he teased the potential inclusion of other mysterious phenomena in future updates, promising to keep the gameplay fresh and engaging.
